TAIYUAN E.P. Explores Environmental Cooperation Opportunities in Sri Lanka
Jiangsu Taiyuan Environmental Science and Technology Co., Ltd. (TAIYUAN E.P.) recently participated in a business delegation to Sri Lanka organized by the China Association for Environmental Protection. During the visit, Mr. Pan Hailong, General Manager of TAIYUAN E.P., conducted a series of technical exchanges and project discussions focused on wastewater treatment, solid waste management, and circular economy development. The company's flagship TIMP Modular Prefabricated Wastewater & Water Treatment Plant attracted strong interest from government agencies and local industry partners.
Gaining First-Hand Insights into Sri Lanka's Environmental Market
The delegation began with a site visit to Sisili Hanaro Encare, a local environmental services company. Accompanied by Technical Director Asantha Gunaratne, Mr. Pan and the delegation toured wastewater treatment facilities and waste management operations to better understand Sri Lanka's current environmental infrastructure, operational capabilities, and demand for technology upgrades.
The delegation later met with officials at the Western Provincial Council, including Secretary Harsha Wijewardana and representatives from the provincial solid waste management authorities. Discussions focused on the province's priorities in municipal solid waste treatment, water and wastewater infrastructure development, and renewable energy projects. The meetings also provided valuable insights into local procurement policies, regulatory requirements, and future investment opportunities.

Presenting Modular Solutions for the Textile Industry
On July 13, the delegation held a dedicated business meeting with INSEE Ecocycle, one of Sri Lanka's leading environmental service providers.
As INSEE Ecocycle is preparing to expand its wastewater treatment operation services for the country's textile and garment industry, Mr. Pan introduced TAIYUAN E.P.'s TIMP Modular Prefabricated Wastewater & Water Treatment Plant. Tailored to Sri Lanka's tropical climate and the characteristics of textile wastewater, the solution offers several advantages, including:
· Factory prefabrication with rapid on-site assembly
· Significantly shorter construction schedules
· Reduced civil engineering requirements
· Flexible operation and future capacity expansion
· High adaptability to diverse project conditions
Mr. Pan also shared successful application cases demonstrating the technology's efficiency, reliability, and cost-effectiveness in industrial wastewater treatment projects.

Strengthening China–Sri Lanka Environmental Cooperation
The visit provided TAIYUAN E.P. with valuable insights into Sri Lanka's environmental market, technical standards, and partnership opportunities.
Looking ahead, the company plans to further engage with INSEE Ecocycle on wastewater treatment service projects while actively supporting the Western Province's water environment improvement initiatives. Leveraging the strengths of its TIMP Modular Prefabricated Wastewater & Water Treatment Plant, TAIYUAN E.P. aims to deliver advanced Chinese environmental technologies and integrated water treatment solutions to Sri Lanka, contributing to sustainable development and stronger China–Sri Lanka cooperation under the Belt and Road Initiative.
